Vocational Education Counselor (Full-Time):
Abilities Unlimited is an innovative community rehabilitation program. Our clients are individuals with work barriers who we facilitate learning the tools required for gaining and maintaining employment in the quickly changing job market landscape. It is a deeply satisfying career which requires employees to have passion, creativity, solid communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to problem solve. We are a very open, positive, and understanding team that prioritizes self-care. We are generous when it comes to family obligations and time off of work. We prefer candidates with teaching/public speaking experience and/or prior experience with individuals with disabilities. Under general supervision, provides job development activities and job placement activities for selected individuals with various disabilities. The goal of the Vocational Education Counselor is to provide participants with ongoing support to secure and maintain competitive employment at an independent level. Direct Support Worker (PART-TIME):
Our Direct Support Workers (DSW) provide a variety of direct care and support services to selected individuals with developmental disabilities. The goals are to assist the Participant to meet health and safety needs, utilize community resources, and develop natural supports, in accordance with the individualized plan of care identified by the Participant and their support group members annually.
